SEPARATION IS SIN

Marriage and family are of monumental importance to God. Satan and his devotees are attacking this sacred institution as never before. Souls are being lost and homes destroyed by deceptive devices of the devil.
When a man marries he is to leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife. Jesus said the two shall “become one flesh,” and added this restriction: “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder” (Mt 19:3-6; Rom 7:1-3). A famous actress after marrying and divorcing five times said she did not feel guilty because “marriage is no big deal; it’s no more than just a piece of paper.”
The idea that a married person may “get up and leave” “depart from,” (I Cor 7:10-11) his or her spouse, with no sense of having sinned by separating, is contrary to God’s word on marriage. If a spouse can become discontent and just “pack up and leave,” the Bible is violated (Rom 7:2-3; Mt 19:3-12; Mk 10:2-12; Mk 11:25). Webster defines “separate” as “divorce.” Marriage forbids desertion.
In separating from a spouse, the promise to “cling” in marriage is broken (not to be separated except by death). The Bible says that the wife must not depart from her husband (I Cor 7:10). Sin is not only the adultery that may follow. It is a sin to leave your spouse.
