WISDOM

Solomon, possessor of God-given wisdom and writer of inspired wisdom, says: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10). Regardless of how many letters you put after your name or how many schools you’ve graduated from, if you do not fear God and obey Him, you ain’t smart!
Jeremiah wrote: “The way of man is not in himself… it is not in man who walks to direct his steps” (10:23). Solomon said twice: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death” (Prov 14:12; 16:25). Worldly wisdom rejects the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ as foolishness. In reality it is the wisdom and power of God. (I Cor 1:18-26)
Scientists step outside their field when they declare that the universe and all that is in it came into being by blind chance. No one would pick up a clock and say it resulted from an explosion in a clock factory, and that the parts of it happened without intelligent design. The universe and life itself show clear evidence of design and a designer. “Bitter jealousy and selfish ambition… are not the wisdom that comes from above.” God’s wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy, impartial” (James 3:13-1 8)
