ATTENDANCE AT CHURCH

If you profess to be a Christian, are you planning to sleep in, play golf, go for a ride or go fishing today? Or will you go to worship? The Bible says the Christian always sins in some ways if his neglect is willful. He usually sins in many ways as a result of failure to meet with the saints (Christians). For example: When we neglect to meet, we fail to obey the command to meet together (Heb 10:25). We fail to care for orphans and widows through our contribution that is commanded (I Cor 16: 1-2; James 1:27). We fail in joining with other Christians in praying at all times (1 Thess 5:17; Eph 6:18) and in giving thanks for everything (I Thess 5:18). We fail to partake of the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week (I Cor 11:20ff; Acts 20:7). We fail to share with others in supporting preaching (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 8:4; Eph 3:10). We miss opportunities to read and study the Bible (2 Tim 2:15; Eph 6:14). We do not show our love for the brethren (Heb 13:1; Rom 12:10). We fail to set the right example for our children and others (I Cor 11:1; Eph 6:4). We fail to give glory to God in the church (Eph 3:21). Email, phone or write today for 45 ways we sin when we fail to “go to church.”
