MASS MURDER

mass-murderORLANDO was known as the home of Disney World. But now it has become known as the place of mass murder. There a lone gunman entered a bar and killed and/or injured over 100 people.

God says that the “judgment of God” falls upon sinners who practice their sin. It says they are “worthy of death.” (Romans 1:32; 2:2). Under the law of Moses, they were to be stoned (Lev 18:22; 20:13). Earlier, the city of Sodom was destroyed from the earth because of this sin (Genesis 13).

In contrast, all sinners are not to be executed by Christians, but are to be loved by them (Mk 12:28-31). The good news of Christ is to be presented to them, the gospel message of faith, repentance, baptism and forgiveness (Mk 16:15-16; Acts 2:38). Believers in Christ are not to murder them (I Jn 3:15). God says that no unforgiven sinner can enter the kingdom of God (I Cor 6:9-11; Gal 5:19-21), but that God’s punishment awaits all sinners in hell (Heb 13:4; Rev 21:8).

Saints of God (Christians) must refrain from punishing those who disobey God. The Lord Jesus said for us to worship the Lord God only (Mt 4:10). Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and to heaven (Acts 4;12; Jn 14:6; 1 Tim 2:5). Christianity is the only religion with an empty grave. “Salvation is in none other” (Acts 4:12; Rom 1:16-18).
