LORD’S DAY PRAYER
Father, Creator of everything in heaven and on earth, we bow to give thanks and praise on this Lord’s Day. We humbly thank you for our Lord Jesus whom You raised from the dead on Sunday morning in AD 33. With Christians around the world, we meet to break the bread and drink the cup in remembrance of Him on this resurrection day (Acts 20:7; I Cor 11). With John on Patmos we are “in the spirit on the Lord’s Day” (Rev 1:10) when every Sunday is Super Sunday.
We thank and praise you for the church purchased with His blood (Acts 20:28), and ask your blessing and guidance for each member of your church, its preachers, teachers and elders who serve well (Phil 1:1).
We also pray for every deacon, every member and for all the youth and the children.
Protect all who carry the gospel to distant lands in our lost world (Mt 28: 18-20). Bless the aged (Eccl 12) and all who suffer disease, loss of sight, hearing, memory or the ability to eat food or drink water. Comfort the poor and discouraged, those who languish in prisons, orphans, widows and those on distant battlefields of the earth. Use us to your glory in teaching and serving others till You call us home.
Thank You for earth’s most precious possession, the Bible. Thank You for loving us.
