THE SAFE WAY
The captain of a ship avoids all danger zones, rocky shores, etc. He only takes the safe channel so the passengers need not be alarmed at the number of rocks they see along the shoreline. Fearing the ship would get too close to the rocky shoreline, a passenger asked the captain: “Do you know where all those dangerous rocks are?” He answered, “No, but I know where the safe channel is.” This is true in religion. The safe way can clearly be seen in Scripture.
The name Christian is the safe name to wear (Acts 4:12; 11:26; 20:28; Rom 16:16; I Tim 3:15).
The New Testament doctrine is the safe way to teach (2 Tim 3:14-17; Acts 2:42; 2 John 1:9; Rom 1:16; Gal 1:8-9; Rev 22:18-19; 2 Tim 4:1-4).
Worship that follows the apostles’ way is safe (Acts 2:42; John 4:223-24; Heb 10:25; Acts 20:7; I Cor 11:23-30; 16:1-2; 2 Cor 9:17; Col 3:16; Eph 5:119-20).
The plan of salvation the apostles taught is safe to teach sinners today (Rom 10:17; Mt 28:18-20; Mk 16:15-16; Acts 2:38; 8:34-39; 18:8; 22:16; Rom 6:3-4; Gal 3:27; I Pet 3:21).
Following the New Testament carefully, without adding to it, taking from it, or changing it … this is the path of truth that is right and cannot be wrong. If this approach appeals to you, we invite you to investigate the predenominational church of Christ (Rom 16:16). Yes, it existed since 33 A.D. Ask for free book about the church in the Bible.
